jQuery Camera provides an useful way to take pictures via a webcam, without installing hardware drivers and webcam specific software, but solely via the browser.

jQuery Camera simply overlays a simple button on top of the webcam feed, which when pushed will take a picture of the stream.

The feed is then frozen so the user can save his image.

To return to the normal video stream, just press the delete (trash can) icon that replaced the snapshot (camera) icon.

A working demo is included with the jQuery Camera download.
